Sixteen of our Year 5 and 6 children will be lucky enough to meet best-selling author Dan Freedman and a cast member from the West End production ‘Wicked’ for a creative writing workshop in February. The event is part of the ‘Wicked Young Writer Awards’ which we hope to enter next year.
We are very excited to have been selected for the Gender Action Schools Award Programme. This will mean we will be part of a project organised by the UCL Institute of Education, Institute of Physics, the University Council of Modern Languages and King’s College London to challenge gender stereotypes and make sure that no child is held back by societal expectations of their gender. We will be meeting up with other members of the project to discuss the next steps at City Hall in February 2019.
